South Carolina needs independent, strong, honest, people-focused leadership. I will focus Economic Empowerment, Education Advancement, and Environmental Stewardship to promote responsible, balanced, growth and advance for all of South Carolina. I am running for SC-31 to give Spartanburg an advocate to elevate the upstate in the General Assembly and in the community. We have many pressing needs to champion. People deserve a living wage. People need affordable housing. Out local businesses and would-be businesses need the support to start and maintain their operations. James A Jones will put out people first, with balance and sensible development of South Carolina.
Create and cultivate job and business opportunities for ordinary citizens through innovative focuses like agri-business to connect farmers to tables and shelves through technology and community partnership initiatives.
Support teachers and staff through much better pay and benefits, push counties to structure FILOT and tax abatement agreements with businesses in ways that don't rob our schools, support life-ling learning for our adult populations.
Promote growth without compromising clean air, water, and land, including but not limited to large data center regulation, update farming applications and techniques, quality environmental checks on businesses.
